Oops! You Just Clicked on a Simulated Phishing Email

This was a phishing awareness exercise conducted by DataPro Consulting in collaboration with your organization.

Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble.

The goal of this exercise is to help all employees recognize and respond more effectively to suspicious emails in the future.

Why Did You End Up Here?

You clicked a link in a test email that contained warning signs commonly found in phishing attempts.
These types of emails are designed by cybercriminals to trick people into:

Clicking malicious links

Downloading harmful attachments

Entering login credentials on fake sites

Please watch this short training video to ensure that you have the awareness should another attempt be made to access your information:

5 Quick Tips to Spot a Phishing Email

Check the sender's email address

If the domain name looks unusual or foreign (e.g. @data-policy.de), be suspicious.

Don’t trust urgent language or threats

Phishers often try to scare you: "Your account will be deactivated in 24 hours!"

Look before you click

Hover over any link to see where it really goes. If it's not a company site or looks strange, don’t click.

Watch for poor grammar or awkward phrasing

Many phishing emails contain spelling errors or formatting issues.

Never provide sensitive info via email

Legitimate companies won’t ask you to enter passwords or personal data from an email.

What Should You Do Next Time?

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Here’s what you should do instead:

✅ Do not click any suspicious links
Do not reply or forward the message to others
Report it immediately to: [phishing@yourcompany.com]
Delete the email from your inbox
